Organic, cold-pressed, virgin, deodorised Argan oil from the Morocavie Co-operative in Morocco.

This fantastic deodorised oil is my favourite grade of Argan oil for skin-care purposes. It is the same oil I use in all Foundry face and body formulas.

Perfect for skin care and aromatherapy.

Full Ingredients

deodorized organic cold-pressed virgin Argania spinosa (Argan) nut oil, tocopherols (0.2%).

All plant-based oils oxidise gradually, reducing their shelf life, so we add a small amount of natural vitamin E antioxidant (naturally derived alpha, beta, delta and gamma tocopherols at 0.2%) to all Foundry base oils - including this one.

This product is certified organic by the USDA and Ecocert.

This is a 100% natural, Vegan product and has not been tested on animals.

How to use it

Best applied to clean skin. For added benefits apply after Foundry Body #1 daily body serum.

Face

Oils are often best applied to the face as a night treatment after your normal evening cleansing routine. Argan oil can be used on its own or incorporated into both peptide and antioxidant routines as well as those using direct acids (for example salicylic acid). Apply enough to avoid dragging your skin and as the final step in your routine, after any serums or water-based products. You may use the 'press' method if you prefer.

Body

Apply liberally. One of the greatest mistakes people make with body oils is trying to make too little go too far. Doing this stretches your skin and over the long term causes wrinkles. If you feel the oil is not applying smoothly then either use more oil or try applying it with slightly wet hands.

Note: the 'press' method is not always suitable for applying oils to your body as it results in a slower absorption time and you may find the oil sits on your skin for too long, leading to more transfer of oil to clothing.

Hair

Argan oil is best applied sparingly to dry hair. Leave for as long as possible - at least 20 minutes - then wash as normal. Once you get a feel for how your hair responds to the oil you can adjust the amount as you prefer. Depending on your hair type, Argan oil can also be applied very sparingly as a leave-in conditioner.

Storage

To enjoy your Foundry oils for as long as possible keep them out of direct light (especially sunlight) and ideally at a temperature lower than 18 degrees. You can keep them in the fridge if you like. Argan oil goes cloudy when cold and crystallises at temperatures lower than 14 degrees but do not worry this is completely harmless. Simply bring the bottle back to room temperature and it will return to its natural golden state.

Indications

Foundry Argan oil is safe to use from head to toe for even the most sensitive skin types. However, as with anything you put on your skin, stop using it if your skin reacts badly.
